Nuisance Calls

It has come to our attention that some patients in Tayside have recently received telephone calls from an unknown source querying the medication they are currently prescribed.  The patients are informed that if they do not share this information with the caller, their medication will cease.

Please be assured that NHS Tayside will never ask you for such information and your medication will not be stopped.

If you have any suspicions around a phone call you have received please contact us directly so we can notify NHS Tayside, as they may be able to establish a pattern, and we would also suggest that you report this to the Police.

Thank you.

Collections

Do you have any used postage stamps at home?  We are collecting stamps to raise money for donkey sanctuaries.  Please hand them into Reception or pop into the box in the waiting area. Thank you kindly.

Appointments

May we remind our patients that GP appointments are 10 minutes long. If you have more than one problem or would like a longer discussion then please let us know when making your appointment.

Important Dates

Monday 9 October is a Public Holiday.

We will be open until 12.30 for pre-booked appointments only, with ALL calls being redirected to NHS 24.

If you require urgent medical attention on this date please contact NHS 24 on 111

Thank you

Home Visits

Doctor's bagWhen you telephone to request a home visit the receptionist will ask what is wrong with the patient. This information helps us to decide whom to visit first.

Where possible, requests for home visits should be made before 10.00am to enable us to plan our work for the day.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.

There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Medical Centre.
